Hieronder een aantal foto's van de Last
Post op dinsdag 1 november 2005 aan de Menenpoort
te Ieper.
Een delegatie van leiders, oudstrijders en jongeren behorend
tot de Canadese inheemse volken (Eerste Naties, Mestiezen
en Inuit) komen naar België en Frankrijk van 26 oktober
tot 3 november 2005 voor een spirituele tocht en Calling
Home ceremonie. De delegatie wordt begeleid door de Canadese
Minister voor Oudstrijderszaken mevrouw Albina Guarnier.
Op 1 november woonden zij de Last Post bij.
During the Year of the Veteran, Aboriginal Spiritual
Elders, Veterans and youth from Canada will participate
in an Aboriginal Spiritual Journey to Europe. A spiritual
ceremony to call home the spirits of fallen warriors will
be held. While there, First Nations, Inuit and Métis
Veterans and youth will visit European battlefields and
cemeteries.
