Een delegatie van leiders, oudstrijders en jongeren behorend
tot de Canadese inheemse volken (Eerste Naties, Mestiezen
en Inuit) komen naar België en Frankrijk van 26 oktober
tot 3 november 2005 voor een spirituele tocht en Calling
Home ceremonie. De delegatie wordt begeleid door de Canadese
Minister voor Oudstrijderszaken mevrouw Albina Guarnier.

Op zaterdag 29 oktober 2005 kon het publiek kennis maken
met de muziek, dans en cultuur van de Canadese Eerste Naties,
Mestiezen en Inuit in het Astridpark te Ieper. Hieronder
een fotoverslag.
During the Year of the Veteran, Aboriginal Spiritual
Elders, Veterans and youth from Canada will participate
in an Aboriginal Spiritual Journey to Europe. A spiritual
ceremony to call home the spirits of fallen warriors will
be held. While there, First Nations, Inuit and Métis
Veterans and youth will visit European battlefields and
cemeteries.
The public could experience the music, dance and culture
of the First Nations People, Métis and Inuit of Canada
at Ieper on Saturday, October 29th, 2005. Please find below
