Monument Ivor Gurney - Sint-Juliaan - 12/09/2007
Op woensdag 12 september werd op Hill 35 in Sint-Juliaan
het monumentje onthuld ter herinnering aan Private Ivor B.
Gurney. Het initiatief hiervoor lag bij het In Flanders Fields
Museum en de Vrienden van het In Flanders Fields Museum. Na
een welkom gaf Piet Chielens (IFFM) een historische duiding
waarna het monumentje werd onthuld door burgemeester Alain
Wyffels van Langemark-Poelkapelle.
Please find below a few photographs of the unvealing at
Saint-Julien of the monument in remembrance of Private Ivor
B. Gurney on Wednesday, September, 12th, 2007. The initiative
was taken by the In Flanders Fields Museum and the Friends
of the Museum. Piet Chielens of the IFF-Museum took care of
the historical background. Afterwards, the monument was unvealed
by Alain Wyffels, burgomaster of Langemark-Poelkapelle.
